From the Ashes Cultural Arts & Counseling, LLC (FTA) is a black-owned small business originated in Asheville, NC. From the Ashes is owned and operated by African American identical twins, Ashley and Heather Tolbert of Buncombe County.
Ashley Tolbert, MA, LCAS, CSI, SAP, ICADC, CAMS II

I received my Master of Arts degree in Forensic Psychology at the University of Houston-Victoria and my Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology, splitting my undergrad years between Winston-Salem State University and Emmanuel College. I am currently licensed as a Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist (LCAS) and Clinical Supervisor Intern (CSI). I am one of the clinicians and artist/creator of From the Ashes Cultural Arts & Counseling, LLC (FTA).
I am part of the Black/female/LGBTQIA+ community and hope to offer my services to diverse groups struggling with substance use/addiction and mental health. Through healing and transformation my goal is to help you acknowledge, accept, and celebrate your differences.

My name is Heather Tolbert and I am co-owner of From the Ashes Cultural Arts & Counseling, LLC (FTA). I am a native of WNC, where I am a Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist (LCAS) and Clinical Supervisor Intern (CSI). I have a BS in Psychology, and an MS in Criminal Forensic Studies.
I want to use my gifts, talents, experiences, education, and my authentic self to help others feel empowered to live as their authentic selves. I want to normalize seeking help.
I want to normalize mental health struggles and addiction, and let people know that they are not alone. There is help and support just around the corner.
